Barry Alan Pincus, alias Barry Manilow, è nato a New York il 17 giugno 1943, ed è un cantante pop rock, che ha raggiunto la notorietà mondiale con la canzone Mandy nel 1974.
Per alcuni, Barry Manilow sarebbe in realtà Jim Morrison, che per scampare ad un complotto, si accordò con la CIA per cambiare nome (e i connotati) per fuggire alla morte.
Il suo spettro vocale assomiglia molto a quello di Morrison, così come la statura, ma conoscendo la vena poetica del frontman dei Doors mi viene da sorridere.
Comunque Manilow ha una grande carriera. cominciata nel 1973 con l’ album Barry Manilow I ed arrivata fino ai giorni nostri.
