Fu l’ 8° album dei Fab4, per la rivista Rolling Stone, si trova al 1° posto della classifica dei 500 migliori album di sempre.
Ho scelto il brano When I’m Sixty-Four, perchè il suo contrasto con il resto dell’ album, a mio parere, è una genialata.
La canzone fu scritta da Paul McCartney già all’ età di 16 anni. Si tratta di un omaggio al padre che suonava musica dixieland. Durante le registrazioni, Macca fece aumentare la velocità, per far salire la tonalità dal Do al Re Bemolle, in modo da far sembrare la sua voce più giovane.
