Oggi è il compleanno di Flea, bassista, musicista, attore e cofondatore dei Red Hot Chili Peppers. Vi posto il brano Otherside, con testo e video.
Michael Peter Balzary, alias Flea, è nato a Melbourne il 16 ottobre 1962 ed oggi compie 54 anni.
La famiglia di Balzary si trasferì negli USA a New York nel 1967 pochi anni dopo si spostarono a Los Angeles.
Fin da piccolo Michael rimase affascinato dalla musica, in particolare dal funk e Jimi Hendrix.
Durante gli anni del liceo fece amicizia con Anthony Kiedis, con cui mise su un gruppo di punk rock.
Nel 1983 i due assieme a Hillel Slovak e Jack Irons formarono i Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem, che ben presto divennero i Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP).
Flea è un bassista straordinario, dotato di una grande tecnica slap, in cui il funk, il rock, il punk, il jazz, il rap si fondono assieme con un risultato unico come la musica dei RHCP.
Per celebrare il suo 55° compleanno, vi posto il brano dei RHCP, Otherside, contenuto nell’album Californication del 1999.
