Francis Albert Sinatra, detto Frank, è stato un cantante, attore e conduttore televisivo statunitense.
Di origine italiana, suo padre era siciliano e sua madre ligure, The Voice è stato uno dei più importanti cantanti di sempre.
Nella sua straordinaria carriera, con oltre 150 milioni di dischi venduti, Sinatra ha vinto molti premi: 2 Oscar, 2 Golden Globe, 21 Grammy Awards ed un 1 Emmy Award.
Fly Me to the Moon (in inglese: “Fammi volare fino alla Luna”) è un brano musicale scritto da Bart Howard nel 1954 con il titolo In Other Words (ovvero: “in altre parole”).
La canzone divenne popolarmente chiamata “Fly Me to the Moon” dalla sua prima riga, ma ci sono voluti alcuni anni affinché gli editori cambiassero il titolo ufficialmente.
Frank Sinatra ha registrato la canzone nel 1964 nell’album It Might as Well Be Swing con la collaborazione di Count Basie. La sua versione è quella più nota al grande pubblico. (Fonte Wikipedia).
