John Ray Cash, alias Johnny Cash (Kingsland, 26 febbraio 1932 – Nashville, 12 settembre 2003), è stato uno dei più importanti cantautori di sempre, che ha venduto oltre 90 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo.
La sua musica, spaziava dal folk al blues, dal country al rockabilly al Gospel.
Come attore, ha recitato in Quattro tocchi di campana, Gli ultimi giorni di Frank e Jesse James. Inoltre ha partecipato ad alcuni episodi de La casa nella prateria, La signora del West, Colombo ed altri ancora.
La canzone “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”, è estratta dall’album “American V: A Hundred Highways”, uscito postumo nel 2006.
Il brano ha ricevuto il premio Grammy Award al Miglior Video musicale.
