Noel David Redding (Folkestone, 25 dicembre 1945 – Clonakilty, 11 maggio 2003) è stato un bassista, chitarrista, cantante, membro fondamentale dei The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Nella sua carriera, cominciata nel 1966, lavorò con The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Fat Mattress, Road, The Noel Redding Band, Mountain.
Dotato di ottima tecnica ed improvvisazione, fu a mio parere il miglior bassista di Jimi Hendrix, con cui realizzò i capolavori Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold as Love ed Electric Ladyland.
Electric Ladyland è il terzo e ultimo album del gruppo The Jimi Hendrix Experience, pubblicato nel 1968. Secondo alcuni si tratta del miglior lavoro di Hendrix; l’album annovera, fra i suoi brani più celebri, Crosstown Traffic, Voodoo Child (Slight Return), e la cover di All Along the Watchtower, di Bob Dylan.
