Chris Cornell, nome d’arte di Christopher John Boyle (Seattle, 20 luglio 1964 – Detroit, 17 maggio 2017), è stato un cantante e musicista statunitense.
Chris Cornell, starordinario cantante di Soundgarden ed Audioslave, fu trovato morto impiccato nel bagno della sua camera, all’MGM Grand Casino Hotel a Detroit.
Cornell aveva 52 anni, si era esibito con i Soundgarden al Fox Theater di Detroit. Dopo il concerto aveva twittato “Detroit finally back to Rock City”.
You Know My Name è una canzone del 2006 scritta da Chris Cornell e David Arnold, registrata da Cornell per la colonna sonora del film di James Bond Casino Royale. Il brano è stato reso disponibile in Internet il 20 settembre 2006, ed è il primo dai tempi di All Time High, canzone realizzata per la pellicola Octopussy – Operazione piovra del 1983, a non avere nel testo un riferimento al titolo del film.
