David Bowie, vero nome David Robert Jones, era nato a Londra l’ 8 gennaio 1947.
Artista straordinario, Bowie è stato un genio capace fino all’ultimo di proporre musica sempre all’avanguardia.
David morì il 10 gennaio 2016, dopo aver raggiunto la vetta delle classifiche mondiali con Blackstar.
Per ricordarlo, ho scelto “Wild Is The Wind”, scritta da Dimitri Tiomkin e Ned Washington. La canzone venne incisa da Johnny Mathis per la colonna sonora del film “Selvaggio è il vento” del 1957.
Oltre alla versione di Bowie, la hit è stata interpretata da artisti come George Michael, Barbra Streisand e Patti LaBelle.
Il Duca Bianco inserì questa ballata nell’album “Station To Station” del 1976, è considerata una delle migliori performance vocali della sua carriera.
