Frank Zappa è stato un genio assoluto della musica, purtroppo scomparso il 4 dicembre 1993. In suo ricordo vi posto il brano Cosmik Debris, con testo e video.

Frank Vincent Zappa (Baltimora, 21 dicembre 1940 – Los Angeles, 4 dicembre 1993), è stato un artista straordinario.
Cantante, compositore, chitarrista, polistrumentista, Zappa aveva una genialità incredibile. La sua musica spaziava tra vari generi, dal rock al jazz, al blues, alla fusion, con richiami alla classica ed al cabaret.
Molti ritengono che la sua musica sia difficile da ascoltare, ma in realtà è talmente proiettata nel futuro che forse verrà capita tra un decennio.
Cosmik Debris è un singolo di Frank Zappa, pubblicato nel 1974 ed estratto dall’album Apostrophe (‘).
La canzone era popolare al Dr. Demento Show negli anni ’70 e nei concerti di Zappa, con memorabili assoli di chitarra di Frank, con George Duke alla tastiera e Napoleon Murphy Brock al sax. La canzone fu inclusa nel tour Zappa Plays Zappa di fine 2010 , dove attraverso il video e l’editing (dagli spettacoli degli anni ’70), Frank Zappa su un grande schermo video ha cantato e suonato un assolo di chitarra mentre la band ZPZ ha fornito un accompagnamento dal vivo.
