Oggi il cantante e bassista dei KISS, il grande Gene Simmons, compie 69 anni. Per celebrarlo vi posto il brano “Lick it Up”, con testo e video.

Chaim Weitz, meglio conosciuto come Gene Simmons, è nato ad Haifa (Israele) il 25 agosto 1949.
Naturalizzato statunitense, Simmons è un bassista, compositore, cantante, attore, talent scout e produttore di alcune delle più importanti band di hard rock ed heavy come i Van Halen.
Quando i suoi genitori divorziarono, emigrò con la madre negli USA, dove cambiò il nome in Eugene Klein portando il cognome della mamma, poi verso la fine degli anni ’60 lo cambiò nell’ attuale Gene Simmons, in omaggio al cantautore rockabilly Jumpin’ Gene Simmons.
Noto come l’ uomo con la lingua più lunga del mondo, Gene ha affermato di avere avuto 5600 donne, tra cui figurano Cher e Diana Ross.
La canzone “Lick it Up”, è estratta dall’omonimo album dei KIss del 1983.
