Il 25 dicembre 2016, a soli 53 anni, moriva a seguito di un infarto, il cantante George Michael.
Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, questo il suo vero nome, era nato a Londra il 25 giugno 1963 da padre cipriota e madre inglese.
Nei primi anni ’80 con l’ amico Andrew Ridgeley, fondò il duo pop degli Wham!. Nel 1987 iniziò la carriera solista con l’ album Faith, trascinato dall’ omonima canzone.
La canzone, nel Regno Unito raggiunse la seconda posizione nella classifica settimanale, mentre secondo Billboard Magazine è stato il singolo più venduto negli Stati Uniti nel 1988. (Fonte Wikipedia)
