Gwen Renée Stefani, questo il suo vero nome, è nata a Fullerton (USA) il 3 ottobre 1969).
Cantautrice, stilista, attrice e doppiatrice, balzò al successo con la band No Doubt, proseguendo il successo anche da solista.
Nella sua carriera, ha già vinto tre Grammy Award, un BRIT Award, quattro MTV Video Music Awards, due Billboard Music Award ed un American Music Awards.
Don’t Speak è un singolo dei No Doubt, pubblicato il 15 aprile 1996 estratto dall’album Tragic Kingdom.
La canzone è stata scritta da Eric Stefani e da sua sorella Gwen Stefani, prodotta da Matthew Wilder, registrata da Phil Kaffel e missata da Holman e Paul Palmer.
Oltre ai musicisti della band, ha collaborato Melissa Hasin, che nel brano suona il violoncello.
