Il 7 novembre 2016, moriva ad 82 anni Leonard Cohen.
Leonard Norman Cohen, era nato a Montréal (Canada) il 21 settembre 1934, è stato poeta, scrittore, cantautore.
Lo definirei il poeta della musica, capace di raccontare la solitudine, la religione e la sessualità come pochi altri.
La sua voce bassa, pareva prendere vigore dalla sua anima. Nella sua carriera ha ricevuto vari premi e riconoscimenti, come Compagno dell’Ordine del Canada, Premio Principe delle Asturie, oltre che l’ inserimento nelle Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, nella Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame e nella Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
Instancabile lavoratore, Cohen aveva pubblicato il suo ultimo lavoro, “You Want It Darker“, il 21 ottobre 2016. La canzone che dà il nome all’album, ha ricevuto il Grammy Award per la migliore performance rock.
