Nel post di oggi ho voluto ricordare Marc Bolan, attraverso uno dei suoi brani più noti con i T. Rex, Cosmic Dancer, con testo e video.

Marc Bolan è stato uno dei massimi esponenti del Glam Rock.
Mark Feld, questo il suo vero nome, era nato a Londra il 30 settembre 1947, è stato un cantautore, chitarrista, frontman dei Tyrannosaurus Rex, divenuti poi T-Rex.
Bolan perse la vita il 16 settembre 1977, a seguito di un incidente stradale avvenuto a Barnes (Londra).
Marc Bolan è stato un genio, capace di creare un suo genere e portarlo ad insidiare le grandi rock band, fino a diventare uno dei precursori del punk.
Cosmic Dancer è un brano estratto dal monumentale album Electric Warrior dei T. Rex pubblicato nel 1971.
La rivista Rolling Stone l’ha inserito al 160º posto della sua lista dei 500 migliori album.
Cosmic dancer” fa parte delle colonne sonore di “A prova di morte” (2007) e “Billy Elliot” (2000), è stato utilizzato anche nella colonna sonora della seconda stagione di Sex Education.
