Oggi il leggendario Paul McCartney compie 78 anni. Per celebrarlo, vi posto il suo brano “Maybe I’m Amazed”, con testo e video ufficiale.

Sir James Paul McCartney è nato a Liverpool (UK) il 18 giugno 1942, nel 1957 conobbe John Lennon che lo fece entrare nella sua band chiamata Quarrymen, che erano formati con Stuart Sutcliffe al basso e da Pete Best alla batteria.
In seguito Macca fece entrare l’ amico George Harrison e nel 1960 partirono per Amburgo, dove divennero i Beatles.
Al ritorno dal tour tedesco, Sutcliffe lasciò la band e Paul divenne il bassista.
Ben presto i Beatles, con l’ ingresso di Ringo Starr alla batteria, raggiunsero la fama mondiale, con album straordinari e qualche leggenda, come quella che vedrebbe Macca defunto il 9 novembre 1996, a seguito di un incidente stradale e sostituito con un sosia.
Tale leggenda, che cmq ha davvero degli aspetti intriganti, riportati sia nelle canzoni, sia in alcuni particolari delle copertine, sia in alcuni aspetti fisici di Paul McCartney, si chiama P.I.D, appunto Paul Is Dead.
Maybe I’m Amazed è una canzone di Macca pubblicata il 17 aprile 1970 nell’album McCartney. Il brano è dedicato all’allora sua moglie Linda, che lo aveva sostenuto durante la separazione dei Beatles.
Ritenuta una delle migliori canzoni d’amore di McCartney, ha raggiunto la posizione numero 338 nella lista delle 500 migliori canzoni secondo la rivista Rolling Stone, nel novembre 2004. Nel 2009 ha dichiarato, durante la promozione del suo album Good Evening New York City che Maybe I’m Amazed è “la canzone per cui vorrebbe essere ricordato in futuro. (Fonte Wikipedia)
