Oggi il grande Paul Rodgers compie 70 anni. Per celebrarlo vi posto brano dei Free “The Stealer”, con testo e video.

Paul Rodgers è nato a Middlesbrough (UK) il 17 dicembre 1949, è un cantautore e polistrumentista, la cui attività cominciò intorno al 1968.
Nella sua lunga e straordinaria carriera ha fatto parte di band importantissime, quali Free, Bad Company, The Firm, The Law, Queen + Paul Rodgers.
Sempre in attività ha alternato l’ attività con le band con una proficua carriera solista.
Grande voce e carisma, nel 1971 i Doors lo cercarono per sostituire Jim Morrison dopo la sua morte, ma Rodgers non si fece trovare.
Due anni più tardi Ritchie Blackmore, ricevette un netto rifiuto da parte di Paul per sostituire Gillan nei Deep Purple.
Il brano The Stealer è estratto dall’album dei Free “Highway” del 1970.
La canzone fu scritta da Andy Fraser, Paul Rodgers e Paul Kossoff.
