Era il 15 settembre 2008 quando morì il grande Richard Wright, musicista, cantante, compositore, cofondatore dei Pink Floyd, a causa di un tumore.
Rick è stato un musicista incredibile, grazie alla sua genialità fatta di composizioni, improvvisazioni jazz, che fanno parte della storia del rock e non solo.
Richard William Wright, era nato a Londra il 28 luglio 1943, è stato fondamentale per il suono dei Pink Floyd, grazie alle sue escursioni jazzistiche, alternate all’ uso del pianoforte acustico.
Come cantante, Wright è sempre stato in secondo piano rispetto a David Gilmour o Roger Waters, ma il suo apporto è sempre stato fondamentale.
Il brano Summer Elegy è estratto dal suo primo album solista, Wet Dream del 1978.
