George Roger Waters (Great Bookham, 6 settembre 1943) è un cantautore, polistrumentista e compositore britannico.
Bassista e cantante, è stato cofondatore e membro storico del gruppo musicale inglese Pink Floyd insieme a Syd Barrett (cui subentrerà dopo poco David Gilmour), Richard Wright e Nick Mason.
Storico paroliere del gruppo, nel corso degli anni settanta, ha progressivamente acquistato sempre più influenza decisionale all’interno del gruppo, divenendone il leader, nonchè principale “mente creativa”, finché, a causa di insanabili rivalità, ne uscì nel 1985 per proseguire da solista. Roger Waters è uno dei più grandi cantautori del rock, capace di scrivere alcune delle parti più importanti della musica.
Sarebbe bello rivederlo collaborare con David Gilmour e Nick Mason, sono sicuro che uscirebbe nuovamente qualcosa di stupendo, come lo erano i Pink Floyd.
