Oggi la cantante e musicista Grace Slick compie 79 anni. Per celebrarla vi posto il brano “Let It Go”, con testo e video.

Grace Barnett Wing, coniugata Slick, è nata ad Evanston (USA) il 30 ottobre 1939.
Nel 1965, durante una esibizione dei Jefferson Airplane, maturò l’ idea di formare una band con il proprio marito, nacquero così i The Great Society.
Nel 1966 la Slick entrò nei Jefferson Airplane, portando con se due brani che entrarono nella leggenda del rock, “White Rabbit” e “Somebody To Love”, veri inni psichedelici dell’era hippy.
Nel 1989 decise di abbandonare la musica, dedicandosi alla pittura ed alla difesa degli animali.
La canzone Let It Go è estratta dall’album “Dream” del 1980.
