John Cameron Fogerty è cantautore e chitarrista, è nato a Berkeley (USA) il 28 maggio 1945.
In attività dal 1959, John Fogerty balzò alla fama mondiale con la band Creedence Clearwater Revival che dal 1967 al 1972 scrisse pagine importantissime del rock, rimanendone nella leggenda.
Dal 1973 Fogerty cominciò una proficua carriera solista, proponendo la sua grandiosa voce in cui il rock ed il blues diventano un tuttuno.
Il suo ultimo album è Wrote a Song for Everyone del 2013.
La canzone Fortunate Son è estratta dall’album dei C.C.R “Willy and the Poor Boys” del 1969.
Il brano ha ricevuto il premio Grammy Hall of Fame Award.
