Mick Jagger, vero nome Sir Michael Philip Jagger, è nato a Dartford (UK) il 26 luglio 1943, da una famiglia di media borghesia, iniziò a cantare già alle scuole elementari, dove conobbe il suo futuro gemello musicale Keith Richards, con il quale poi fondò i Rolling Stones assieme a Brian Jones, Bill Wyman e Charlie Watts intorno al 1962.
Dopo 60 anni i Rolling Stones sono ancora in attività, con la loro grande musica e la straordinaria voce ( e verve) di Mick Jagger, che nonostante le rughe non teme il passare del tempo.
Ultimamente Sir Mick ha comprato casa in Sicilia e sta lavorando a nuove canzoni, mostrandosi su tutti i social molto attivo ed in grande forma.
Fool to Cry ” è una ballata rock dei Rolling Stones, contenuta nell’ album del 1976 Black and Blue .
La canzone è stata scritta da Mick Jagger e Keith Richards . Mick Taylor aveva appena lasciato la band e gli Stones erano rimasti senza un chitarrista solista. Le registrazioni di Black and Blue videro un susseguirsi di chitarristi, ma la scelta ricadde su Ronnie Wood, il quale garantiva sia un supporto ideale a Keith Richards, sia a Jagger nei cori e nella presenza sul palco.
“Fool to Cry” è stata l’unica traccia di Black and Blue ad apparire negli album dei più grandi successi degli Stones Forty Licks nel 2002 e GRRR! nel 2012.
Ho scelto questo brano, perchè a mio modesto parere il cantato di Mick è straordinario, sia nell’uso del falsetto, sia nella parte più urlata, tanto da essere la vera alternativa alla straordinaria Angie.

Bellissima canzone: davvero una chicca e una coccola per le emozioni.
Nelle mie corde c’è più “Paint it Black” (sempre dell’accoppiata Jagger-Richards), ma, comunque la si possa vedere e percepire, “Sir Jagger” resta sempre un unico e grande dispensatore di emozioni e di messaggi forti.
