Robert William Gary Moore, cantante, chitarrista e compositore, nato a Belfast il 4 aprile 1952, è stato un chitarrista straordinario, capace di spaziare nei vari generi dal blues all’ hard rock, con energia e bravura unici.
Esordì nel 1970 con una band chiamata “Skid Row”, che ben presto furono chiamati ad aprire i concerti dei Fleetwood Mac di Peter Green.
Negli anni entrò in formazioni leggendarie, come i Colosseum II ed i Thin Lizzy, poi proseguì con una carriera solista di grandissimo pregio, con album di grande pregio.
Un chitarrista incredibile, dotato di grande tecnica ed un senso dell’ improvvisazione come pochi, lo avevano portato nell’ Olimpo della musica.
Per ricordare Gary Moore, ho pensato di postarvi “Story Of The Blues”, brano a cui sono molto legato, estratto dall’ ottimo album “After Hours” del 1992.
