Oggi la leggendaria cantante Grace Slick compie 80 anni. Ho pensato di celebrarla, con il suo brano “Dreams”, con testo e video.

Grace Barnett Wing, coniugata Slick, è nata ad Evanston (USA) il 30 ottobre 1939.
Nel 1965, durante una esibizione dei Jefferson Airplane, maturò l’ idea di formare una band con il proprio marito, nacquero così i The Great Society.
Nel 1966 la Slick entrò nei Jefferson Airplane, portando con se due brani che entrarono nella leggenda del rock, “White Rabbit” e “Somebody To Love”, veri inni psichedelici dell’era hippy.
Nel 1989 decise di abbandonare la musica, dedicandosi alla pittura ed alla difesa degli animali.
Dreams è la canzone che dà il titolo al secondo album solista di Grace, pubblicato nel marzo 1980.
