Oggi il grande Graham Nash compie 76 anni. Per celebrarlo, vi posto il suo brano “Simple Man”, con testo e video.
Graham William Nash è nato a Blackpool (UK) il 2 febbraio 1942.
Cantautore, compositore e fotografo, Graham Nash esordì nel 1962 nella band dei The Hollies, di cui fu l’ autore di molti loro brani.
Nel 1968 iniziò un viaggio negli USA dove conobbe David Crosby.
Nel 1969 formò il gruppo Crosby, Stills and Nash, che esordì con nello stesso anno e dimostrando subito di avere le carte in regola per entrare nella leggenda, grazie a brani meravigliosi come Suite: Judy Blue Eyes e Marrakesh Express.
In seguito si aggiunse al supergruppo Neil Young con cui realizzarono nuovi capolavori ed entrando nell’ Olimpo del rock.
Nel 2006 Nash collaborò con David Gilmour e David Crosby, per la realizzazione di On Island.
Il brano “Simple Man” è estratto dall’album Songs for Beginners del 1971, che raggiunse il 35° posto della US Billboard Hot 100 .
