La notizia è arrivata nella serata di ieri, Mark Hollis è morto all’età di 64 anni. Per ricordarlo, vi posto il brano dei Talk Talk “Such a Shame”, con testo e video.

Mark David Hollis (Londra, 4 gennaio 1955 – 25 febbraio 2019) è stato un cantante, musicista e compositore britannico, noto soprattutto per essere stato il frontman e principale autore della band Talk Talk. Si ritirò ufficialmente nel 1998. (Fonte Wikipedia)
Mi ricordo benissimo l’ uscita dell’album “It’s My Life” del 1984, fu un successo clamoroso, grazie alla hit “Such a Shame”. Comprai la cassetta praticamente prima degli altri amici, che erano scettici sulle sonorità non proprio pop.
Era un album innovativo, dove si capiva che il pop romantico degli anni ’80 stava loro stretto.
Al momento non sono state rese note e cause della morte di Mark Hollis.
