Il celebre cantautore John Miles si è spento a 72 anni. In suo ricordo vi posto “The Cask of Amontillado” dei The Alan Parsons Project.

John Miles, vero nome John Errington (Jarrow, 23 aprile 1949 – Newcastle upon Tyne, 5 dicembre 2021), è stato un cantante, chitarrista e tastierista inglese.
Iniziò la propria attività nei primi anni ’70, raggiungendo la grande notorietà come cantante degli Alan Parsons Project, poi come solista raggiunse l’ Olimpo della musica con l’ album “Rebel” del 1976, trascinato dalla canzone Music.
Miles si è spento lo scorso 5 dicembre, dopo una breve malattia.
The Cask of Amontillado, è una canzone contenuta nell’album d’ esordio dei The Alan Parsons Project, intitolato Tales Of Mystery And Imagination – Edgar Allan Poe, del 1976. Nell’album (che figura tra i migliori 50 del Progressive Rock), John Miles cantò nei The Cask of Amontillado e (The System of) Dr. Tarr e il professor Fether e Terry Sylvester, consacrando le sue grandi doti vocali e di interprete.
