Lenny Kravitz, nome completo Leonard Albert Kravitz, è nato a New York il 26 maggio 1964, è cantautore, polistrumentista, produttore discografico ed attore.
In attività dal 1989, Lenny detiene il record per il maggior numero di Grammy Award alla miglior interpretazione vocale rock maschile, grazie ai brani: Fly Away (1999), American Woman (2000), Again (2001), Dig In (2002).
