Paul David Hewson, noto come Bono Vox, è nato a Dublino il 10 maggio 1960.
Nel 1976, rispose al volantino di Larry Mullen lasciato su una bacheca della scuola, che cercava persone per formare una band. L’amico Reggie Manuel lo convinse ad andare a casa di Mullen per le prove. Si presentò come chitarrista, ma c’erano anche altri due chitarristi nel gruppo “The Hype” , Dave Evans (The Edge) e suo fratello Dick, e vista la notevole differenza tecnica tra Bono e gli altri due, Bono finì con l’essere il cantante. A seguito dell’abbandono del gruppo di Dick Evans, presero il nome di U2. Faceva già parte della band come bassista anche Adam Clayton. (Fonte Wikipedia)
Gli U2 sono una grande band, ma molto del loro successo è dovuto alla voce ed al carisma di Bono.
Negli anni ’80, gli U2 erano la band di riferimento per noi rocchettari.
I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For è un brano musicale del gruppo rock irlandese degli U2, estratto come secondo singolo dall’album The Joshua Tree. Il singolo fu il secondo (e ad oggi l’ultimo) numero uno del gruppo nella Billboard Hot 100, dopo il successo del precedente singolo With or Without You, oltre ad aver raggiunto la posizione numero 6 nel Regno Unito.
