Jeff Beck, uno dei più grandi chitarristi di sempre, è morto improvvisamente. In suo ricordo, vi posto il brano This is a Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr, con testo e video.

Jeff Beck se ne è andato il 10 gennaio a causa di una meningite fulminante.
Geoffrey Arnold Beck, detto Jeff , era nato a Sutton (UK) il 24 giugno 1944 e la sua carriera cominciò nei prima anni 60, esordendo nel 1965 con gli Yardbirds prendendo il posto di Eric Clapton. In quel periodo Beck suonava anche il violino ed alternandosi con Jimmy Page alla chitarra.
Già, stiamo parlando del Trio Meraviglia della chitarra, Jeff, Eric e Page, che hanno fatto grande e leggendario il rock ed il blues inglese.
Tecnicamente è stato lo sperimentatore più assiduo della chitarra, forse la più grande alternativa europea a Jimi Hendrix. Nel corso degli anni, il musicista si è espresso a grandi livelli nel rock, nel blues, nella fusion fino all’ heavy metal.
La rivista Rolling Stone ha inserito Jeff al quinto posto nella lista dei 100 migliori chitarristi, mentre nel 2009 è stato inserito nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Per ricordarlo, ho pensato di postarvi la canzone che realizzò con Johnny Deep, per l’ album 18 del 2022, intitolata This is a Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr.
Un brano meraviglioso, che rende omaggio alla grande Hedy Lamarr, attrice ed inventrice Hedy Lamarr.
