Oggi il leggendario cantante, compositore ed attore Ozzy Osbourne compie 72 anni. Per celebrarlo, vi posto la sua canzone “I don’t Know”, con testo e video.

Ozzy Osbourne, vero nome John Michael Osbourne, è nato a Birmingham (UK) il 3 dicembre 1948.
John era un bambino con alcuni problemi, infatti era dislessico, balbuziente e con un deficit d’ attenzione, che gli valsero alcuni soprannomi al tempo della scuola, di cui uno era appunto Ozzy.
Affascinato dalla musica dei Beatles, iniziò a cimentarsi nel canto ed entrò in una band chiamata “The Black Panthers”, alternandosi in vari lavori (macellaio, idraulico, mutarore…) ma finì per tentare dei furti fino a quando fu arrestato: fu durante la prigionia che si tatuò la scritta OZZY sulle falangi della mano sinistra, utilizzando un ago e della grafite.
Nel 1968 mise un annuncio a cui risposero Tony Iommi e Bill Ward, i quali si convinsero di creare una band con Ozzy, il quale portò con se il chitarrista Geezer Butler che poi divenne bassista, nacquero così i leggendari Black Sabbath.
Nel 1978 Osbourne fu cacciato dalla band per i suoi eccessi, seguì un periodo di grande depressione fino a quando si ripresentò come solista, dimostrando che non era assolutamente finito, anzi rinvigorito da una talentuosa band formata con alla chitarra Randy Rhoads (ex Quite Riot), Lee Kerslake (ex Uriah Heep) alla batteria, Bob Daisley (ex Rainbow) al basso e Don Airey alle tastiere.
Dopo tanti anni rimane un punto di riferimento dell’ Hard Rock e l’ Heavy Metal, grazie al suo carisma, la sua voce e le sue varie eccentricità che lo rendono un’autentica leggenda vivente.
I Don’t Know è un singolo di Ozzy Osbourne contenuto nell’album d’ esordio come solista Blizzard of Ozz del 1980.
