Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, questo il suo vero nome, è nato a Wallsend (UK) il 2 ottobre 1951.
Cantautore, bassista, polistrumentista, attore, iniziò la sua carriera musicale intorno al 1971.
Nel 1977 fondò con Stewart Copeland ed il chitarrista Henry Padovani i leggendari The Police con cui più volte raggiunse la vetta delle classifiche mondiali.
Dopo lo scioglimento della band nel 1983, Sting ha proseguito con una grandiosa carriera solista, il suo ultimo lavoro è l’ album “57th & 9th”.
La canzone “Fragile” è estratta dall’album “…Nothing Like the Sun” del 1987.
